Turkish mosque and ruins

This was Sofia's only working mosque (Banya Basha ). It was built in 1576 by the Ottoman Empire. Despite Bulgaria's past troubles with the Turks, they are still its largest single demographic minority. At the rear were recently excavated bath house ruins.
