Above the river view was the Zugspitz -- tallest mountain in Germany, just one block from our lodging. Our first full day there was a beautiful, clear Saturday (10/11/08). The next Monday, we ascended the peak by cog rail and cable car. But that day was very hazy and our photos on another camera did not turn out.
