Marking Sofia's southern skyline, Mt. Vitosha was the 4th tallest peak in Bulgaria. It helped to form a deep valley with another range on the other side of Sofia. But it wasn't visible on hazy or high-pollution days. There were gondola rides on weekends but it rained the only day we could have gone. Most of the time, Marilyn wore her warmest coat. I was glad I brought my overcoat liner.
