What was a perfect way to end our first full day in Bavaria? Getting the last two tickets to a superb chamber concert at the Richard Strauss Institute. There, he lived and worked near the end of his life. After four teenagers warmed up with a string quartet, an Italian cellist and German pianist played four superb sonatas ~ one each by by Strauss (of course), Beethoven, Debussy and Brahms (Marilyn's favorite).
