One evening, several lawyers & spouses dined at the historic St. Peter's Restaurant in downtown Salzburg, where Mozart had also dined and performed in the 1700s. It claimed to be on the site of the oldest restaurant in Europe. (In 803 AD, Charlemagne also ate at that site.) The candelight meal used authentic 1790 recipes. Before and between three fine courses, the Amadeus Consort Salzburg (two singers and five string players, all talented graduates of the Mozarteum University) performed an all-Mozart program, with period costumes and instruments.
